Home-Baked for Homeless is a mission born in a home kitchen — where a portion of every Bake Cook & Create sale, and the hands of fellow home bakers, come together to nourish and dignify our homeless neighbors.
The Why
Everyone deserves to feel like someone made something just for them. That's the belief at the heart of this cause — that a warm, homemade baked good can say something a food pantry box cannot: I see you. You matter.
Once registered, a percentage of every Bake Cook & Create order will go directly to this mission. At least once a month, I plan to personally deliver fresh baked goods to a local shelter. And with your help, we can do so much more.
The most radical act of hospitality is feeding someone who has no table to sit at.— Allie C, Founder
Get Involved
Any gift directly supports supplies, delivery, and baked good donations to shelters.
Home bakers can join our network and donate a batch of baked goods to be delivered.
Organizations and local businesses can partner with us to amplify our reach.
Know a shelter or individual who could use a delivery? Submit them as a recipient.
Help Us Grow
To sell baked goods and grow this mission legally, Allie needs her California Cottage Food Operator permit. We're raising $500 — $250 for the permit, and $250 for the supplies to keep shelter deliveries going strong.
"This isn't just about a permit. It's about making sure that every person who receives one of these loaves knows that someone took the time to make it just for them — from scratch, with their own hands." — Allie C., Founder
Our Story
It started the way most important things do — quietly, without a grand plan - only a deep desire to nourish and uplift another as a few special people had done for me when I was homeless.
Home-Baked for Homeless is the formal name for what has always been a simple act: using one of my God-given gifts — baking — to show people who are often invisible that someone sees them. That someone cares enough to make something for them with their own hands.
Once my home bakery is officially registered, a portion of every Bake Cook & Create sale will go here. Every month I plan to deliver fresh baked goods personally. And now, I'm inviting other home bakers, donors, and community members to join what has become so much more than a one-woman mission.
Homemade food carries something that commercial bakeries can't replicate: the unmistakable warmth of someone's hands and heart.— Allie C, Founder of Home-Baked for Homeless
